To make sure your print job comes out clean and accurate, please prepare your artwork using the checklist below. Following these steps helps prevent delays, resizing issues, and print quality problems.
Your artwork should be set to the final finished size of the product. For example, if you are ordering an A4 flyer, your file should be built at A4 size.
A high-quality PDF is the best choice for most print jobs. In some cases, AI, EPS, PSD, TIFF, or JPG files may also be accepted, but PDF is usually the safest option.
Print files should be created in CMYK, not RGB. Colors can shift when RGB files are converted later, so it is best to design for print from the start.
All images and graphics should be 300 DPI at the actual printed size. If images are too low in resolution, they may appear soft or blurry in print.
If your design goes to the edge of the page, add bleed beyond the trim line. A standard bleed is 0.125 inch or 3 mm on all sides.
Important text, logos, and details should stay inside the safe zone so nothing gets cut off during trimming. A small margin from the edge helps protect the finished result.
Fonts should be embedded in the PDF or converted to outlines before export. This helps avoid missing-font issues when the file is opened on another computer or sent to press.
Before sending the file, review all text carefully and confirm that spacing, alignment, and contact details are correct. A final proof check can save time and prevent reprints.
Thin borders can look uneven after trimming because even small cutting shifts become noticeable. If possible, keep your design full-bleed or leave more space around the edges.
If possible, export a final PDF proof and review it on screen before sending. Make sure page size, bleed, crop marks, and image quality all look correct.
Once your file is ready, send it with your order details and any special instructions. If you are unsure about any part of the setup, we can help review your file before printing.
